Ski and Snowboard Experience:

My parents started me on skiing since I was 2 years old and have been on a snow trip every winter since then, By the time I was a teenager, I had skied in many places around the world. At around 1993, I decided to try snowboarding while I was in Söll, Austria and ever since then fell in love with it. Due to university and building my business, I took a long break and finally came back to the sport in 2011 where I rekindled my passion for it in Niseko. Ever since then I made sure that I go for snow trip twice a year for at least 4 weeks per year. One usually with my family and another with my hardcore snowboarding friends.

In 2015, I decided to take the Snowboard Instructor course by CASI (Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors) to be certified instructor as well as to push myself beyond just recreation snowboarding. As I love to teach, it was the perfect opportunity to do what I love, share my passion for snowboarding and still get paid for it! Thanks to Urban Ski Singapore, I can pursue my passion during off season and to train myself in hot and sunny Singapore. Below are the qualifications that I will be aiming for in the next few years. I'm hopping to gain all the necessary skills to train and assist my two daughters in helping them pursue snowboarding in a competitive path and maybe even represent Singapore in the Winter Olympics as one possible goal!


  • Level 1 CASI instructor (Completed Mar 2015)
  • Level 2 CASI instructor (Riding Pass 2016/2018 (Teaching to Retake))
  • Level 3 CASI Instructor (2019/2020 Season)
  • Level 1 SASI - Ski (2017)
  • AST 1 (Completed 2015)
  • AST 2 (2018/2019 Season)
  • First Aid and CPR Certified
  • CPD (Child Protection)

Favourite Place to Snowboard:

Japan...anywhere in Japan is awesome. It's a snowboarder's paradise - loads of powder, great food, onsen to relax, and amazing people and culture!
